Generator Maintenance

Comprehensive maintenance for your Generac standby generator. We change filters, oil, spark plugs, inspect batteries, test electrical systems, and ensure your backup power is ready when you need it.

Keep Your Generator Ready for the Next Outage

A standby generator only works when it's maintained. We service Generac whole-house generators with a thorough checklist that covers engine, fuel, electrical, and transfer-switch components—so you're not troubleshooting in the dark when the power goes out.

What's Included in Every Service

  • Air filter and oil change – replaceable elements swapped on schedule
  • Spark plugs – replaced as needed to ensure reliable starts
  • Battery inspection – electrolyte levels checked, terminals cleaned, charger tested
  • Fuel system check – regulator, lines, and connections inspected for leaks or wear
  • Enclosure and louvers – cleaned to maintain proper ventilation
  • Valve gap adjustment – checked and set to factory spec
  • Transfer switch cleaning – residue removed, contacts inspected
  • Complete electrical diagnostic – voltage, frequency, automatic standby system, and voltage regulator tested
  • Engine compartment inspection – visual check for leaks, corrosion, or damage

Common questions
How often should I have my generator serviced?+

Most Generac standby generators need annual maintenance. If your unit runs frequently or is older, we recommend twice a year.

What happens if I skip maintenance?+

Generators that sit without service can develop fuel varnish, dead batteries, clogged filters, and corroded contacts—all of which cause no-start failures when you need backup power most.

Do you service other brands besides Generac?+

We specialize in Generac but can perform basic maintenance on most standby generator brands. Call us to confirm compatibility.
